Pipes will be placed from the borehole to 8 central distribution points – one for each “neighborhood” within Kailer. Each distribution point will be no more 500 meters (15 min walk) from every household thus providing the entire village access to safe, treated water. Piping will be extended to the primary and nursery schools to provide clean drinking water for the students. Water Mission will provide training for villager mechanics to maintain the water system; and will work with the Water Committee during monthly on-site follow-up visits over one year to ensure technical and social compliance.
