Pre-natal Care

The women of Kailer recognize the need to have a safer level of care during childbirth.  Traditional birth attendants, who currently assist mothers in their homesteads during the birthing process, will be provided culturally-sensitive instruction on topics designed to improve the health and welfare of pregnant mothers and their newborns.   Volunteer healthcare experts in the U.S. will work with the Health Sector Committee and village mid-wives to create appropriate learning materials and best instructional methods for providing the information to the attendants as well as village women.
